2017 is here! Where shall I go this year? I have been to so many interesting places already, most of the places I wanted to see anyway. My passion is still the UK. Maybe I like it the best because I am older now and feel more comfortable because I know the language, I can drive on the wrong side of the road (for me) without too much panic, I love history, and every area of the UK is so different! I am so passionate about gardens too. The National Trust in the UK, of which we are members, offers so many opportunities for learning about the elaborate homes and gardens there, so we are never bored. The National Garden Scheme in the UK opens private gardens to the public on certain days of the year. So it is interesting to tour multiple gardens on the days we are there. I like the small villages off the beaten path the best, along with the cozy local pubs!
This year, somewhere along the way, I hope to tour and show off some of the gardens in the U.S. We have some lovely gardens and homes and one is close to me, the Biltmore Estate. So that is on my to-do list.
Quebec, Canada is never far from the horizon in my itinerary plans either. It is one of my favorite North American cities. I also get to practice speaking French, which I still study EVERYDAY! I would like to travel to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island too, since I have never been there. I can practice my English there! Ha Ha! Or another possibility is a train trip across Canada from Montreal to Vancouver, Canada. I have a lot to think about for this year and maybe a few beyond! Stay tuned to see where I go!
I included the most recent Destinations from my old blog, on this blog, to have something on the blog when it is first published. To see all the places I have traveled see my previous blog HERE.
Also, I have added my posts that included a video. Believe me when I say it took me FOREVER to make them with all the editing of photos and then getting the music to begin and end where I wanted it to. I think for the most part they turned out very well and I got better at it as I went along. They are still very high on the most liked posts that I wrote!
