#MyGloriousGarden: The Gardens of Mainz, Germany

Today I am participating in the #MyGloriousGardens Link Party, from Old House In the Shires, where we share photos of DUH, Gardens! In March we were in Mainz, Germany and several IPhone photos were snapped of the blooming plants and flowers all around this beautiful city, situated on the Rhine River. Mostly my past trips to Germany featured grey days or snow, so I was thrilled to see the blooms! The architecture to be found in this city is outstanding, as I have posted in the featured ThursdayDoor posts. There is a beautiful pinky-coral-salmon-orangey color to many of the historic buildings and churches and the plant arrangements highlight the color of the stone as well. Enjoy the foliage of Mainz!

And then let’s go along the plane tree walkway at the park, along the water’s edge of  the Rhine River.

You can always count on one good sculpture piece to draw you to the garden!

I’ve thrown in some of the historic buildings so you can see that Mainz is all Pink!
