Just One Person: The Chestnut Roaster

This time, for Just One Person, I have the Chestnut Roaster in Rome! It was pouring rain and those chestnuts smelled like they were burning! You could smell them from several blocks away! He just carried on, no problem! Was he bored?  Was it just a job? Rain or shine same ol’ same ol’? Bringin’ home the bacon, but not his thing?  Haven’t we all been at that job sometime in our lives? Yep! My snapshot was painted in two new Apps for me, Percolator and THIS…just for fun…..

  2. I hadn’t thought about the smell of roasting chestnuts in ages. There were vendors like that in Manhattan. Maybe they are still there, but I haven’t walked on the streets of the city for years.

Oops, almost missed this one, Cady! And funnily enough we were sitting by the river eating roast chestnuts this afternoon, in glorious sunshine. They’re normally only available November-December time here so an after light lunch treat. Healthier than cake!
