One Person From Around the World: Albania

Welcome to Just One Person From Around the World!

June! The month for brides! Today, we are going to Berat, Albania, where I took photos of the wedding party headed up to the mosque in the old ruins for their wedding photos!  I also should say these photos were taken in August and it was a bazillian degrees outside at 10am! But, the wedding party was not deterred! So, let’s focus today, on all the brides of the world that can enjoy big weddings again and dance at their wedding too!

I am continuing to keep positive vibes, here on the blog …. there are a lot of folks in the world, who are everyday folks, just trying to provide food and shelter and love……….they are trying to make a living…….keep their kids educated and basically just take care of their families, without an agenda.  Me too. I think there is more of us…. Just trying to live our lives….. So, I have focused on one person a week to bring us together, to celebrate ordinary folks. Let me know how you are faring in your world!

Going up to the old ruins……….

Here comes the bride! The focus for today’s posting!

But, she is surrounded by her camera man, bridesmaids, groomsmen and oh yeah, the groom is in there too!

The lovely couple!

I know some of the restrictions are less severe in some parts of the world now, and some are not…….so let’s keep on remembering, what we can do to keep us all sane! Life goes on!

To see how all this started look at Just One Person From Around the World

Since we are getting back to the good old days I have decided to end the challenge……..I hope you have enjoyed Just One Person Around the World, that made us all remember how important and small our world is! Cady

  2. Weddings are fun wherever they occur, but oh! those beautiful old stone structures interested me more, and the scenery.

Not sure about the getting back to how it was, Cady. Yesterday more restrictions happened between here and the UK. I’m waiting…patiently? But I love your bride and her entourage. Happy days! 🙂 🙂

  4. That could be a pretty hot walk but with a great venue at the end of it.

I’m sorry to hear you’re stopping this challenge – it’s been one of my favourites. And like Jo, I don’t feel things are that much closer to normal, certainly when it comes to international travel 😦 I will continue to post my ‘people’ even though your challenge element is going.

  14. Lovely post Cady. Sorry to see the challenge has ended. Even though I participated only a couple of times. And many times in my head. I enjoyed reading your and others’ posts. This was a beautiful, happy post even though it was a bazillion degrees. 😄
