Good Mornin’ SOS’ers! Today, I am in Kristiansand, Norway! There are four distinct sections to the city and for our first SOS here, we will walk to the Wergeland Square area, central to the main shopping area and the hub of the city. The Kristiansand Cathedral, is featured prominently in the middle and is completely surrounded by a flower garden ……..with freshly painted, slick-black, benches to sit on and enjoy this beautiful square ……….and the weather!

We could stroll through the park area of the square and look at the flowers, trees, sculptures, and street lights, on our way to the busy shopping area. Or, sit a spell and just people watch, my favorite……

Ok, I’ll stop here and grab a bite at the beautifully landscaped outdoor restaurant…while I keep a close eye on that fancy McDonalds! Did you notice the trees? Pines in the above photo and Palms in this one!

I do like watching the landscapers bring in more flowers for the square!

But, this is my favorite arrangement! The Flower Stick! How do they do that?

Kristiansand is a fabulous little village on the coast at the very bottom of Norway……… I wonder if this is the warmest spot in Norway during the summer? The sun makes the colors fabulous! We have a lot more to explore! Won’t you join me?
The instructions for SOS are easy. The photos can be flowers, vegetables, a garden design, whatever, as long as it’s garden related and posted on Saturday! So, its six photos. Of Gardens. On Saturday. Easy Peasy. To see all the SOS’s look at SIX ON SATURDAY, hosted by the Propagator, to check out all of them each Saturday! See you next week in another spot!
Oh my word!! How DO they create that tree!! It is absolutely stunning! Lovely photos of all the flowers in Kristiansand! Thank you for sharing!

Flower towers are simply a number of potted petunias or other blooming plants hung from a tall trellis-like form, packed in close. Watering all those plants must be quite another matter!

Jo, I wonder how many plants it takes to fill this trellis thingy? How do they keep the plants on all the sides growing and staying fresh? Mine would die out SOMEWHERE!
