Of all the places we have been I don’t remember such good “window dressing” as we saw in Stockholm. I know I have never taken this many photos of windows before! The shops in Old Town are just fascinating and really draw your eye to their window displays! They were very creative and artistic! So, let me share with you first, my absolute favorite in Stockholm, on many levels. It was the Schweizer Café! I was drawn to it for meany reasons. First, you couldn’t help notice the bags and bags and bags of orange peels outside the shop. And, there were all the hanging flowers to get your attention. And third, the most telling, were the crowds inside and out waiting to be served or seated……We took note of the address and decided we would swing by again later in the day to see what all the hubbub was about and I am glad we did!

Inside the cases were all these goodies……..now which one to choose? There is also the fresh squeezed orange juices ready to go!

How about the size of those muffins? I tried to resist them by looking at the graffiti on the walls, which I thought added to it’s charm……….

OK, back to the streets, where we walked past bakery after bakery………I could live in Old Town just for the bakeries!

Or, you can have a choice of pastry, orange juice and ice cream. Where DO all the oranges come from? SPAIN?

This bakery added fancy stuff called “Bubbies.”

and this one was the Belgium Bakery, specializing in waffles! YUMMMM! Just step to the window and place your order……….or go inside if you can’t make up your mind!

This little café was so chic……and needed  a barista………

It was named Sara’s Art and Coffee, but served many different dishes……..

All this window shopping has made us hungry……Now where do we eat? And try to stay cool? Paganini was highly recommended to us.

Oh yes, this will do quite nicely for ambiance……

Yep, plenty to whet your whistle too……..

and you can sit by the open windows, where it should be cooler…..

and you can watch all the goings on along the street………..and check out the plants………
