I bet you think we are going to be on Elba Island for as long as Napoleon was! I have been re-couping from spine surgery, so things have been in the slow lane here for a couple of weeks……….. But,  here is my last post on Elba! Following the tour of Napoleon’s villa we drove around this small island and you get the feel for how remote it still is. So, if anyone wants to go into exile this might be the place. The towns are mainly on the coasts and many tourists flock here for the summer months, but I imagine it is sparse after tourist season is over. The middle of the island is a national park of trees…………… So, we are off……… all of these first photos were taken from a moving bus, just sayin’.

But, you can get your smokes in the middle of nowhere!  And play the Lotto!
