I just can’t say enough or show enough of these pictures from the Forville Market in Cannes! I am possessed! I liked the photos so much I am thinking about those “Fracture Me” art frames (where the photo is printed on glass) and framing them for my kitchen! So please bear with me!
Show me the Meat!

Or a croquant (which is a crunchy cake or cookie) How about Amaretti Pistachio?

or a nice bright, fleshy pepper?

or a perfectly round peeled onion? Or maybe fennel?

or any lettuce, green bean, pea or radish?

or the perfect, unblemished cauliflower? And more lettuce………..

Do you know what these are? I had to ask………They are unshelled hazelnuts!

And the variety of eggplant and squash…………

with squash blossoms too………

before we go one last look at my favorite tomato, the pumpkin-shaped ones………

and a peek into the cheese shop too…………….oh my!

and our final look at the mosaic on the wall for the market ……….goodbye sweet market! I loved it all!

What a delicious gourmet experience to visit such a market. I’ve been to France a couple of times and always enjoyed the markets almost more than anything else. I would love to try one of those tomatoes: I bet the taste is exquisite!

Why can’t we have markets like this in the states?

Mala, don’t even get me started on this topic……I would rant and rave more than anyone would care to listen too.

Wow, I’ve been toCannes but did not go to the market. Boy did we miss out!!! Just joined your blog, love it. I also live in a small town in North Carolina where it rains all around me but our hill is cursed. Alas I must water.
