A new addition to my garden this year is the Agapanthus……The dark purple “Storm Cloud” is just now blooming…….

Another new addition is the allium, “Millennium.” It is my first time for allium too and I wish I had bought more…………

The tucked away “New Guinea” impatiens is doing well in the old stone pot…….

The fountain is clean and the pump is pumping…….. now all we need is a new filter system and we will be good to go. The fountain has a mind of it’s own………..

I’ve had agapanthas as house plants and last year planted one in my garden. It made it through the winter but no flowers yet. I’m hoping because they are a lovely blue.

Love the agapanthus. We have one in a pot that is just about to flower. It’s never flowered before (it was planted in the ground originally years ago and didn’t do anything). I put it in a pot two years ago and this year, buds! Quite exciting.

  5. Love your agapanthus! And that fountain has ‘romantic garden feature’ written all over it. :~)) Those New Guinea impatiens are like little jewels.

  6. You’ve inspired me to seriously think about having agapanthus. I’ve not had them as they seem to be so picky about conditions. I will look into this now. Lovely blog, and lovely pictures.

    1. Thank you! The agapanthus have not been picky for me so far………..if they get picky I move on! Ha Ha! I work hard to make the blog look nice and the only camera I use now for photos is my IPhone…..I’ve moved on from lugging cameras and equipment all over too!

Agapanthus already! Mine are a few weeks off. It makes it seem like the season is rushing by, even when it’s someone else’s plants that are flowering early, though for you they probably aren’t early.

What a lovely allium – not seen that one. I keep wanting to add agapanthus to my garden & still’ve not gotten around to it. Yours are lovely & that bud photo – just wow.

    1. That Millennium allium was the “ Flower of the Year” here…..whoever decides that I don’t know! But I bought it because I always loved all those giant alliums in the UK in Every garden! This one is small in size but if it grows in our hot hot hot humid weather I will be thrilled! 100’s here this week!

    1. That fountain has been a thorn in my side! So temperamental it clogs with the slightest blade of grass!!!!! Constantly cleaning it out, turning on, turning off. However, it is the only one I have ever seen like it here and I love the way it looks in my garden. Had a landscaper/ fountainer??? out this week, who is going to bring three different and more up to date filters to see if that helps…..,

I’ve got a few impatiens like those, they’ve been a bit rubbish. I have them on the edge of a shady border where they get a bit of sun. Too sunny maybe?

    1. Hmmmm……..Mine are in direct morning sun but tucked under the honeysuckle a bit. Afternoon shade and I tend to miss when watering………..
