Here a just a few doors for Norm this week! The summer months are awesome, but we are extremely busy! We seem to be traveling more and I can hardly keep up! So, today I am revealing a short and sweet version of Winchester, Virginia. This photo was taken at the Quarters on the Blandy Experimental Farm.

Welcome to Winchester, Virginia! I don’t think the pink bows add anything to the decor! Do you? It is a very small and historic town………with some very historic houses……….

I have to admit I loved the clock on the bank…………
And this little door to where I wonder, the stairs I guess? They don’t want to get wet………..
It was also home to George Washington in his younger days…….
In case you are wondering where the door is…….it was inaccessible! But, it did look similar to the one at the Abraham Hollingsworth Farm, established in 1734, when the Quaker family moved here.
Winchester is also the home of Stonewall Jackson, so he has a home here…….. and the childhood home of Patsy Cline, so she has a home here……. and many more prominent people. Also, the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum is here!
So, in addition to George Washington, I can say they have all slept here too! Including the snake! Have a great door week! Look here to see more of Norm’s Doors!

Norm, I had tons of pictures from ALL the historic homes, but they were “none to write home about” as far as “different” doors. I am on a schedule now since I am down to the wire on leaving for big travels for the year. I don’t have the time I like to spend on getting all the details! Am leaving for 13 countries in the Mediterranean soon! Yikes that will take me forever to write about!
