WeekendCoffeeShare: Thanksgiving

Come in, come in, just push aside something at the table and grab a seat and we’ll make time for a coffee chat! Well it’s the countdown ’till Thanksgiving and I have been a busy beaver! How can you not really get into Thanksgiving? There’s something for everyone! Cooking and Baking for me……..it’s the one time of year I make lots of food.  Appetizers, the mains, the vegetables, the cookies, the cheesecake…….the fruitcake with six weeks to get all rummed up………. I even made coffee cake and pancakes and put them in the freezer, that way when I’m ready for them they are ready for me! My everyday lists are getting longer!

Dear Hubby, DO NOT LOOK AT THESE COOKIES!!!!! They are supposed to be a surprise!

The Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Sometimes the cook has to sample the goodies to make sure they are just right! Then I slice it and freeze it!

The Banana-Pecan-Sour Cream Coffee Cake

And I set my table now……. so no worries about that………

We watch the parades…..we watch football……we eat……and this year I am doing a 5K Turkey Trot too. And if that is not enough excitement you can always go shopping! I am very thankful for all I have and try to enjoy every minute of the life I have…………

How about you?  What are you doing on Thanksgiving? Are you cooking? Are you going to grandma’s?  Share your table with us!

It’s always good to hear from you! See you next week!

Wow – that all looked tasty. It’s not weird for me to admit I’ve never seen an unbaked fruit cake. I don’t know what I thought the batter would look like but it wasn’t what I expected.
The coffee cake is my favorite. Let me know if there are leftovers.
