Some doors should never be passed by! The dessert door at Caffe Rivoire, in Florence, Italy, is definitely one of those doors! You will find this iconic chocolate shop tucked in the corner of the charming Piazza della Signoria. There is a bar inside where you can stand to eat and drink or you may find one of the outdoor tables perfect for a leisurely cuppa and dessert. If you sit outside at a table, 2 euros each for the table service will be added to your tab. But, it is so worth it! Another bit of advice; they serve meals, but the service is slow and the food expensive. Stick to their specialties, the chocolate drinks and desserts. Chocolate has been their forte since 1872. You won’t be sorry! I think they serve the best hot chocolate in the world! It is my favorite drink there no matter if it is summer or winter!
This is just one of many photos in the Thursday Door Collection featured by Norm2.0! Won’t you join in or take a peak at all the doors?
LOL. So glad that isn’t a real door that I am looking at now. Such doors are bad for me.

OK, I guess I can force myself to go with hot chocolate and a chocolate dessert, dark for preference. Yum!!

Shucks, missed that location when we were in Florence in 2015. Looks like a good excuse to go back there. Hope those doors were not self-serve or the dessert fridge will empty out quickly!
