Color Your World: Apricot in Rome

Rome, italy
Rome, Italy

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. After a long, walking day in Rome and a visit to the Vatican as well, it was time to head back to the hotel. But, then we found the big red tour bus and thought we’d take a spin around the city to get the big picture. So as the sun was setting we were seated on the top of the open air bus and making our way along the route when I lamented I couldn’t take any pictures! My daughter looked at me like I was crazy. “Mom, what do you mean? Just do as I do, hold your camera up high and click away.” I was very skeptical. This could not possibly work. All my photos would be big blurs.  I snapped away. But wait! When I looked at the photos I thought they were really good. The colors were beautiful and there were shots I would not have taken unless I had been on that moving bus. I loved the play of sunlight and shadow on the buildings, all those apricot colors.  I think those photos were some of the best I took in Rome! Who would have thought? You learn something every day!

Color your World  is a 4 month long daily blogging challenge event. Each day has a new color theme based on a crayon color in Crayola’s box of 120 crayons.

The challenge runs January 1, 2017 to April 29, 2017. Please join us in this challenge! It’s fun!
